Silver is non- toxic heavy metal

“Heavy metal” the first appearance of this term was recorded in 1936 from The Edinburgh Center for Toxicology in Scotland, Bjerrum’s Inorganic Chemistry John H. Duffus, in article “Pure and Applied Chemistry” 74, 793-807, which indicated the density of any metal elements that are greater than 4g/ml were called “heavy metal”. This term, however, did not signify all the heavy metals were toxicity. Why?? We know that there are 112 kinds of elements in the periodic table. Within that table, there are over 70 metal elements’ density are greater than 4g/ml, however, only 10 kinds are defined as toxic heavy metals. Furthermore, Toxicology Authority Casarett and Doull does not refer poison elements to heavy metals but to toxic metals. Also, it does not include silver metal among the poison elements. From above, we know “heavy metal” & “toxic metal” are commonly misused and it becomes ambiguous terms to most of people. To be more clearly, we briefly list out few elements as
following:

Heavy metals
Non-Heavy metals
Toxic metals
Lead(Pb), Cadmium(Cd), Chromium(Cr), Antimony(Sb), Mercury(Hg), Nickel(Ni), Tin(Sn) & so on.
Aluminum(Al), Barium(Ba), Beryllium(Be) , and so on.
Non-toxic metals
Silver(Ag), Iron(Fe), Znic(Zn), Titanium(Ti), and so on.
Sodium(Na), Potassium(K), Magnesium (Mg), Calcium(Ca), and so on.
